Renovation of the General Markets of Turin, intended to host the Olympic Village of the XX Olympic Winter Games
For the construction of the Olympic Village, the conservation and renovation of the structures subject to restrictions by the Superintendence for Environmental and Architectural Heritage was envisaged. The objective of the restoration and recovery of the market structures is the creation of the service area for the Olympic village (logistics centre).
The “conversion project” involves the closure of the arches with glass surfaces and the creation of multifunctional spaces intended for the international and service area of the Olympic Village during the Olympics.
