Prof. Eng. Francesco Ossola, Studio Ossola’ General Manager and Technical Director since 1972, has been tenured professor at the Polytechnic of Turin (until 2018) of the discipline “Ergotecnica Edile” which studies the transfer of typical methods of industrial production to the construction sector. He also taught “Building production and safety“, and the University Master’s degree “Design and management of complex construction sites“.
He is also a member of the Teaching Board of the PhD in “Ergotecnica Edile” based at the Polytechnic of Milan.
From 1992 to 1994 he was Assistant to the Extraordinary Commissioner Prof. Rodolfo Zich for the “Galileo Ferraris” National Electrotechnical Institute of Turin.
From 1994 to 1997 he held the role of Coordinator of the Project Quality Management Unit of the Polytechnic of Turin which had the task of checking the completeness and quality of the “Doubling Project” of the current headquarters of the Polytechnic on the adjacent former O.G.R areas;
From 1997 to 2011 he was the Manager (R.U.P.) and Works Manager (R.L.) of the “Doubling Project” intervention of the Polytechnic (total amount of works 350.000.000 €); in this role he managed all the Polytechnic’ contracts in the public works laws.
From 2013 to 2016 he was appointed “Consultant Office” of the Iraqi Ministry of Youth and Sports for the design and construction of the new Diwanyah football stadium and sports complexes in Iraq.
From December 2014 to December 2020 he was Extraordinary Commissioner for the extraordinary and temporary management of the “Venezia Nuova Consortium” (C.V.N.), for the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and Venice Water Authority, for the completion of the “MO.S.E” Project (6.000.000.000 €)
Since 2020 he has been Technical Consultant to the Extraordinary Government Commissioner Arch. Elisabetta Spitz.
Since 2021 he has been the Technical Consultant “CTP” for the investigation of the crane’ collapse in Via Genova, Turin.
Since 2021 he has been nominated by “Autostrade per l’Italia” as President of the Technical Advisory Board, for the works to widen the fifth lane from the Milan North barrier to the Lainate Interconnection.
In 2021 he was nominated Official Technical Consultant “CTU” for the Judge in the arbitration relating to the intervention of the “Third Crossing”. (8.500.000.000 €)
In addition to having written more than 60 scientific publications, he has participated in many international conferences, including:
o “Fighting climate change: Sharing Italy’s innovative technologies”, at the United Nations (New York); April 2016.
o “Italian Making-Engineering, excellence for the country”, on the topic of Large Works and Transformations; Conference of the National Council of Engineers (Rome).
